WHO WE ARE

Based in Tokyo, Asia Business Consultants (ABC) has formed partnerships over twenty years with Japan’s most talented chefs, their finest suppliers and other leading professionals in the food and beverage industry to establish world-class Japanese restaurants abroad. Current projects include the finest restaurants in many cities including Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore, across multiple genres: sushi, tempura, teppanyaki, ramen, and more.

We enter these markets both as a direct owner-operator of restaurants and by providing consulting services, helping clients to recruit the chefs, the staff, procure the ingredients, ship it in ideal conditions and design the menus necessary to raise a restaurant to a world class level.

The fact remains that few restaurants can be replicated outside Japan. And fewer companies know how to do it properly. After having participated in the creation of eight restaurants abroad, we have the track record to prove it.

The key concepts are authenticity and viability. In the past, it was believed that Japanese food could not be created abroad and was not and would never be a business model. This is because the only successful restaurants were in Japan where the owner was cooking.

We created a team across multiple genres of the finest chefs who trained disciples to be sent abroad and supplied them with the best ingredients so that without any compromise, for the first time, the finest Japanese food is replicated outside the country.
